The IT Factor Be the One People Like Listen to and Remember (Audible Audio Edition) Mark Wiskup Jeffrey Kafer Audible Studios Books

"It" gave me solid advice on being concise and focused when presenting my elevator pitch where time is so limited and first impressions are critical. I was able to discern that my old message was meandering and might be boring to my prospective clients. Now, my introductory remarks already answer the question of "why" the client needs me. By implementing elements of this book I succinctly present my services to clients in a manner that leads them to ask questions. When I practice the steps given in this book the response is always "tell me more" rather than "hmmm, thanks". There is golden advice in "It".

The IT Factor Be the One People Like Listen to and Remember (Audible Audio Edition) Mark Wiskup Jeffrey Kafer Audible Studios Books Reviews

Wiskup's first book, Presentation S.O.S., was a great read on how to immediately improve deliverables to be effective, efficient, and to the point. It taught me the difference between talking and communicating.

The IT Factor further expands on these principles developed (and put in practice) to show you, through useful examples (not boring statistics), of situations where someone lacked "the IT factor". It exhibits, through illustrative, easy to understand examples that are direct and to the point, why this factor is so important to have.

Another reviewer actually slammed Wiskup for his NON-use of statistics, numbers, and research. I would have droned off to sleep reading a book full of this. This person doesn't have the IT factor.

This book is an absolute must have for anyone who wants a leg up on their competition. Wiskup focuses on the finer points that most speakers, sales coaches, and other professionals, simply miss. Wiskup has the IT factor, and if you read this book, you will be on your way, too.
This is a good self-help book, but it does not quite live up to its promises
This book is not a shortcut to success. This book is an excellent guide for someone who wants to communicate better in every aspect of life.

Mark does a great job of giving examples of how NOT to communicate. He explains the traps we all fall into when we face our own insecurities.

Mark gives you things to think about and exercises to do as you continue your quest to become a better communicator.

I thought I was a great communicator after writing 10 books, but I have so much more to learn and look forward to the process.
Finally after 40 years in active and successful business I found out what I was lacking... the inability to connect with staff, especially lower level staff. I found the "how to" in "The It Factor", applied it and the results were positive. The general staff meeting tone and attiudes afterwards improved considereable, the staff is more talkative and open and the reserve that I sensed in the past is gone with many of them. It takes effort to move the subject matter from head knowledge into the heart than into action but it is well worth it. The payoff, especially in this tigth labor market is going to be substantial.
Easy reading and entertaining book that address' many points in daily life many of us don't take advantage of. Build skills over time and use the project plans to really drill home the points. Many of the scenarios can easily be adapted to every day life. Highly recommend reading and heeding
Mark Wiskup creates a compelling guidebook for effective communication. This book has influenced my relationships in not only my professional life, but also my personal life. By following Wiskup's advice, I've been able to make a more meaningful impact in my day-to-day communications while also seeing long term results. A must read!
This is a great read on communication for anyone looking to step up at work or make an impact as a sales person. We are not taugh these secrets in school or university or even in the home, as they seem so obvious. They are not, and even if you are a great networker this is a great way to challenge your skills. There is a lot of thorough exercises included in the book, to dos in order to achieve the best results.
